Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) Producer Naoki Yoshida has posted his latest "Letter from the Producer” detailing two new campaigns that bring good tidings for players. The first of those being the Legacy Campaign, which aims to reward the player loyalty for subscribing for more than 90 days between January 6th, 2012, and the start of FFXIV’s version 2.0 beta testing. Those that qualify will get three things: an exclusive chocobo mount at the launch of 2.0, the benefit of playing FFXIV at the discounted Legacy price forever and even earn a place in the game’s 2.0 credits.

The billing of FFXIV is also undergoing some changes with 2 new payment options that consolidate the character fees. (Note: The below prices do not include the Legacy discount)

Entry Plan – $12.99 USD/£7.69/10.99 €: One character per World

Standard Plan – $14.99 USD/£8.99/12.99 €: Eight characters per World

In addition, FFXIV is also launching a “Welcome Back Campaign”, which will take place following the release of update 1.22 currently scheduled for April 26th. Once the update goes live, inactive accounts will be invited back for 10 free days during the campaign period from May 9th through May 20th.
