Square Enix opened its new World Transfer Service for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (FFXIV) today. Starting today, players can transfer to new worlds for an $18 fee, but there are some guidelines to using the service that you’ll need to be aware of in regards to moving multiple characters and a limitation on currency and certain data. Characters can only transfer 1 million gil, but that limit is also subject to change based on the economic conditions of the target server.

The first step to using the service is confirming your character's eligibility, which requires an active account, the character to not be part of free company or holding a free company petition. Additionally, characters can't have items for sale on the market nor have items entrusted to the Calamity Salvager NPC. There are a number of others so be sure to read them all before you attempt to make a move on the FFXIV website.
