Earlier this month, we were exposed to a new kind of Hearthstone tournament. Challengestone demanded that its participants build new decks on the fly, given certain constraints. This meant that competitors had to be more than excellent players; they had to be skilled and innovative deck builders, as well. This was Brian Kibler's time to shine, as he managed to take home the title. He battled to the final game in the best of 7 finals against Jeffrey "Trump" Shih, and in recognition of their efforts, both players have been invited back for the second Challengestone.

The tournament will be held from June 27th - 28th, and is once again hosted by Octavian "Kripparrian" Morosan and Tempo/Storm, with a live stream on Tempo/Storm's Twitch channel. There are still some key details that have not yet been revealed, such as which players will be competing against Trump and Kibler, as well as what the new rules will be for this edition of the tournament. The first Challengestone was a blast, and it's safe to say the second one will be incredibly entertaining. We're looking forward to it, but in the meantime (in case you missed it), here's Kripp's initial announcement of Challengestone and why he's so excited about what it brings.
