It was revealed that Hearthstone's latest solo adventure The League of Explorers, will be available this Thursday, November 12th. However, a mistake was made on Blizzard's end that allowed some players to pre-purchase the adventure ahead of schedule, immediately granting them access to Explorer's Hat and Forgotten Torch.

This was unintended, and the early-access cards have been removed from those players' accounts. For those that made the purchase, the cards will be returned to their accounts, and the first wing of the adventure opened, once League of Explorers goes live in the player's home region. Understanding that this may be what players thought they were paying for, they do have the option of contacting customer support for a refund instead.

On the bright side, League of Explorers will be introducing a lot of new cards to the game, as well as the new "discover" mechanic. The impact these cards will have on the overall metagame remains to be seen, but the player base as a whole seems to be excited to experiment with them, and are hopeful it will spice things up a bit.

Plus, there's a talking Murloc. What more could you want?
