Blizzard ended the option to opt-in to Hearthstone beta as planned on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014. So if you opted in prior to its end but haven’t received your beta invitation yet, Blizzard Community Manager Aratil took to the forums to inform fans that those invites will be forthcoming in one massive flagging wave.

“We currently plan to invite all remaining opt-ins via direct account flagging and it will be done as one large wave. This invite wave has not yet happened, as we are still compiling the full list of accounts to be flagged. A notice will be sent once the wave happens.”

While no solid date has been set for the new beta flagging as of yet, Aratil did add, “Once the accounts are flagged, the Hearthstone license should show up in Battle.net Account Management.” So while you wait for that elusive beta invitation, be sure to get primed for Hearthstone with our handy set of deck guides to help you avoid becoming the next Leeroy Jenkins...even though you can make a deck that includes a Leeroy Jenkins card but I digress.

In addition to the expansion of more beta testers, Blizzard also announced the start of Test Season 2 will kick off today, wiping all stats from the previous Test Season 1 rankings for players to start new and slug it out for first place.

We will be officially transitioning to Test Season 2 tomorrow (January 9th) for all regions, during each region's scheduled maintenance time period. Expected maintenance times are as follows:

NA: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

EU: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM PST

KR/TW: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM PST

CN: 12:00 PM - 2:00PM PST
