Funcom's Product Director Jørgen Tharaldsen has written a letter to address some concerns relating to preorders for Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures. More information will be coming in a newsletter in the future.

We see that many of you have numerous questions in regards to our pre-order programs, and as you have seen many retail chains have already for weeks offered the game for sale. Since we are launching in numerous territories at the same time, we wanted to ensure a coordinated information push prior to announcing the entire selection. This was a conscious choice in order to minimize community comments along the lines of “what about my country”.



Even though we would have loved to be out with this information months ago we have to adapt to market conditions. Seeing how we launch in numerous territories there are several infrastructural challenges to overcome, and many territories are still not used to the way MMO handle pre-orders, including early access and various digital items like the War Mammoth. We are always trying our best to give you the information you need in a timely manner, and we understand that this has been something you have been waiting for.



The wait is soon over though, and we will be sending you a newsletter as soon as we can with all information, as well as updating the official Age of Conan site with links for all the territories. Should you have any further questions after this we will follow the threads closely, and reply as fast as we can.
