Weatherstock is known as one of the largest fan festivals in western MMO history done within a game. Regular attendance passes over 500 and previously up to 900 individual players (in 2014) were logged in to enjoy the festivities. It's a huge event, including escorts to the top of the mountain for lower level players who want to login just to enjoy the concert and several bands playing for big rewards. The event runs 11am to 5pm (although times are not yet final) on July 25th (Landroval server) and band registerations end the 31st. If you're big into LOTRO or even someone who casually plays, this is one event you don't want to miss.

You can find out more details on the official site for the event. As you can see in the video below, it draws a huge crowd. There will also be a livestream available for those who can't deal with the lag or are on other servers and don't want to level to 7 (and haven't already done so). It's still encouraged to actually be at the event for the best experience.

It's important to note that LOTRO has a large musical community that hosts a variety of concerts almost daily on various servers and locations. Players utilize in-game instruments to perform various songs from a wide variety of genres, from real music to original content, bands host a variety of events regularly. It's an exciting and interesting prospect and if you have something going on your server, you should check it out. It's really neat and fun, even if sometimes the music isn't great, it's still a wonderful social event.

You can find out more about bands playing where here.
