It's no secret that video games can be addictive, but one Russian man feels he has become so hooked on Fallout 4 that he is suing the creators of the game, Bethesda, for compensation. In a statement to Russian news site RT, the man said his addiction to Fallout has cost him his health, his job, and his wife.

If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, I would have become a lot more wary of it...I would not have bought it, or I would have left it until I was on holiday or until the New Year holidays.

In terms of compensation for his distress, he is looking for 500,000 Rubels or close to $7000 US.

Players seeking compensation for games they felt were too addictive is nothing new, in fact it's been around almost as long as games have been. One man even successfully sued NCSoft in 2010 over his Lineage 2 addiction, citing that the game wasn't clearly labelled with warnings of it's addictive gameplay. Whether or not this new case will bring about change in the way games are labelled will be interesting to see.
