RIFT's Summer Fest starts today and runs until July 1st, so there is plenty of time to update your client if you've let Rift sit on the backburner for a bit and are looking for a reason to play it again. Costumes, scavenger hunts, and more are part of this nearly three week long festival of Summer!

Gather your lures and pack your bags! Summerfest returns to Telara June 12 – July 1 along with scavenger hunts, fishing, exploring, companions, and new cosmetic items fit for a season of fun in the sun.

Dive into new scavenger hunts across Goboro Reef, Draumheim, and Tarken Glacier, complete the Summer Royalty Achievement to earn your Ravensong mount, and check out this year’s all-new gear including Backpacks and Fae Wings!

So here are the exciting things going on:

  • Scavenger Hunts: Throughout Telara are various objectives for you to complete that aren't marked on the map. They start in Sanctum or Merdian, you'll be assignedd tasks in various phases.
  • Exuvia of Khargroth Zone Event: Squish bugs for achievements as Khargroth descends to cause mayhem.
  • Lots of Costumes, Pets, and more: There is a ton to buy off of the vendors. Extra minions are added this year (you'll need to get the first off the RIFT store though), and more.

Vendors accept Summerfest Merit Badges, which are earned from invasions, daily quests, rifts, scavenger hunts, etc.

Anyway it's a super fun event and the scavenger hunts are long. It runs in two phases, with some content exclusive to each phase. I recommend playing RIFT on Steam, but however you have the client, boot it up for some summer time fun soon.
