Update 1: Blizzard launches Diablo III teaser site for Reaper of Souls.

Update 2: It's possible that The Dark Below trademark may be a hoax, it's unclear for the moment. But that fact isn't stopping the patrons of MMO-Champions from putting together some fun-to-read speculation about the possibility of what the rumored title could mean for a possible WoW expansion. Also, silly Tuk would like to apologize since he forgot to click "Rumor" in the news story box.

Original Story: Patrons of MMO-Champions recently discovered a new trademark filed by Blizzard Entertainment for The Dark Below, which the filing refers to as “computer game software downloadable from a global computer network.” While we don’t know exactly what game this may be for, it’s likely that it will be an expansion for either World of Warcraft or Diablo III, both of which are probably about due for an expansion announcement. Or maybe it's just a little something more for Hearthstone. It's all speculation at this point.

VG247 also pointed out that The Dark Below is part of the Warcraft RPG game and is a place beneath Azeroth where demons exist separate from the Burning Legion, so this would seem to indicate a more likely expansion for WoW than Diablo III. But then again, Blizzard is making a Diablo related announcement at their gamescom press event on August 21st that they claim will “capture the attention of the Heavens, Burning Hells and all the shadowed places that lie between." Whatever the big Diablo secret is we'll find out next week so stay tuned and we’ll update you when we have more.
