As announced earlier this week, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) had planned to turn over EU publishing of 8 of its games to ProSiebenSat.1. The deal would unfortunately for the most part segregate the US and EU player base. A visit to the various SOE game forums such as EverQuest II and DC Universe Online, 2 of the 8 games on the list, reveals just how unhappy a lot of players are about the move. The heated discussions on the forums have resulted in a number of bans, including that of community leader Morgan Feldman of EQ2Wire in Massively's report.

SOE’s Director of Global Community Relations Linda "Brasse" Carlson has posted a brief update to fans to let them know that SOE is communicating with ProSiebenSat.1to address fan feedback.

Hey folks – I know it’s been a long few days. We fully appreciate the time and effort you’ve taken to provide your feedback.

As we’ve said before, we ARE listening, and we are in discussions with ProSieben. We will come back to you with information when it becomes available, but it will be some time yet.

Please keep in mind that this is not an overnight process and no games are transitioning to ProSieben immediately.

Thank you for bearing with us during this planning period.

~Brasse

For now, it’s simply a waiting game to see what if anything will change in the deal.
