If you’re one of the loyal backers of Chris Roberts’ ambitious return to the space game with Star Citizen, you can now access what will become your future home base by way of an early access version of the Hangar. Roberts admits that the early access version may not be the most refined, but improvements will be coming as development continues. The early access is meant more as a reward for backers.

You’ll need to have purchased a package with full game access, a ship, and some credits to access the Hangar. Follow these instructions to get started and check out the Hangar FAQ for more.

Recommended minimum specs are as follows:

• Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
• DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM
• Quad core CPU
• 8GB Memory
