While we have no details on what is included in the expansion, we do know what the expansion is called and where these details should arrive (hint hint obviously EA's E3 rundown). The name doesn't explain much, but we do know that it's going to involve Star Wars in some capacity and will involve SWTOR. I'm just kidding, I mean it's obviously going to be about Star Trek, right? Anyway, here is the blurb from EA's pressite:

Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ – The largest story-driven expansion to date, Knights of the Fallen Empire, marks a renewed focus on cinematic storytelling in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The expansion will deliver on the hallmarks of what makes a great BioWare™ game: new worlds to explore, new companions to recruit, and a dynamic story that players will be able to shape based on the choices they make.

This is I believe the third expansion for SWTOR and while this doesn't highlight what is going on in the expansion, there are a few clues here. More planets, finally some new companions (hopefully more than just one or two), and additional story. Pretty exciting news huh? Here's a screenshot, just you know, in the event it's removed:

So, if you're super excited about this, then well you're in luck. They'll be broadcasting the event to the public on their Twitch stream. So be sure to tune in Monday, June 15 at 1:00pm PDT on their Twitch stream.

There is some more cool stuff out of the press release, like a giveaway of over 400 games if you Tweet and I assume also on the stream:

For viewers unable to attend the show in person, EA will bring the excitement home by giving away free games throughout the live stream. Follow and Retweet @OriginInsider for a chance to win one of 400 free PC games, starting as the show begins at 1:00pm PDT and concluding as the show ends at 2pm PDT. Winners are selected at random.

Until then, I imagine the SWTOR news front will be quiet for awhile, so may the live long and propser be with you!
