Undead Labs initially planned to launch State of Decay’s first DLC near the end of October, but as things often do in the gaming industry, the DLC had to be delayed for additional work. But now the release is in sight once again. Undead Labs today announced that the Breakdown DLC will launch on Friday, November 29th, 2013 for both Steam and Xbox 360. Additionally, Title Update 4 will also be deployed to squash a few bugs and add the keyboard remapping option for PC players.

Breakdown will offer State of Decay players a new survival game mode that challenges players to survive as long as possible by scavenging for supplies and locating a vehicle to move to the next stage, the next stage being a harder version of the same map with increased zombie difficulty and aggression.

The Breakdown trailer leaked a bit early this week, but the wait won’t be too much longer. If you pick it up, make sure to hone your zombie-killing skills so that you’re ready with the inevitable Class4 drop.
