If you’re one of the many Jedi Knights or Sith Warriors playing Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), you might have noticed a little annoying ability delay issue (I like to call it the ability stutter) where you hit an ability only to the animation start and suddenly stop for no good reason. Luckily, a fix for this rather annoying issue is on the way, but there’s a little more good news for Sith and Jedi as well.

In a recent post to the SWTOR forums, Principal Lead Combat Designer Georg "Observer" Zoeller laid out a list of changes aimed at helping Jedi Knights and Sith Warrior in PvP since they’re often forced to chase down opponents (usually while snared) with limited ways to close the gap or strike from range, all while their opponent backpedals and blasts them into oblivion. Here are two of Zoeller’s proposed changes:

    • Mobility/Anti Kiting (PvP) – We agree with the sentiment voiced by the community that some Guardians and Juggernauts have to work harder than other classes to stay within effective combat range, putting them at a disadvantage. We intend to address this in an upcoming patch where, as a first step, Force Push will clear the cooldown of Force Leap, granting for more reliable in combat pursuit capabilities to the Advanced Class. Further changes will be made if necessary.
    • DPS spec survivability (PvP and PvE) – The DPS specs on Guardian and Juggernaut are performing to our expectations when it comes to the ability to create damage, especially of the burst variety. However their survivability is lagging behind our expectations, especially in the later game, and we are going to start addressing that particular issue in an upcoming patch.

Additionally, Zoeller points out that the final part of the Jedi Knight's story is getting tweaked due to being set way too hard to be completed solo and that there is also changes in the works for the Sith Marauder and Jedi Sentinal as well.
