Last year was a good year for Above and Beyond Technologies (ABT) as the Indy studio doubled its targeted goal for Kickstarter funding of its sandbox MMOG, The Repopulation. With alpha testing well underway and a new year upon us, the devs offered a look at what 2013 will hold for The Repopulation.

In short, the first major milestone for the year will be getting the closed beta ready. While no official solid date has been announced for the start of beta, ABT did set the target window for spring 2013 followed by a hopeful full release of the game by the end of the year. Luckily, the team is not under pressure to push the game out by a given deadline as is the case when you have to work with a big publisher at times, so they’ll be keeping the release time flexible depending on how the beta progresses. That’s one of the perks of being crowdfunded.

Additionally, ABT also plans to serve up new media and news to the press this year, so expect to see more news, videos and previews to come.
