Last week Funcom launched the feature and bug fix portion of their Issue #7: A Dream to Kill update for The Secret World. This week Creative Director Joel Bylos served up his Monthly Development Update for June to preview the content section of Issue #7 along with the upcoming Guardians of Gaia anniversary event set to kick off on July 3rd, the anniversary date of the conspiracy-based MMOG.

The anniversary event will feature new massive creatures and primal event that players can ban together to take down to capture a portion of their essence and earn a guardian of their own. Double XP, Ability Points, and Skill Points will be provided to players that log in each day of the event along with a 30% discount on store items. More content arrives following the anniversary event with the launch of Issue #7 on July 8th. The main storyline of The Secret World expands with new missions that will move events into Tokyo. A new comic is available in the update along with a teaser video.

Looking further ahead, Bylos touched on a few bits of the Issue #8 update, which will include new Augment systems, additional voice over and capture work, and a new Scenario.
