  • War Unleashed Upon Azeroth

The official site for World of Warcraft has a new bit up today that tells us about the recent incursions...

Azeroth is under attack! Horrific creatures are swarming from a suddenly active Dark Portal and have rampaged into the Blasted Lands. Defenders from Nethergarde Keep have scrambled to meet the enemy head-on. However, even with the assistance of reinforcements from the ever-vigilant Argent Dawn, the forces of Azeroth need your help!

Not much is known of the invasion at this early stage, but early reports from the battlefront describe wave after wave of demonic attackers charging from the Dark Portal. It is also reported that Lord Kazzak was seen departing through the Dark Portal. In his stead he has left his minion, Highlord Kruul, to sow fear and confusion among the defenders.

  • So You Want to be an MMO Developer? Part IV

MMORPG.com has posted the fourth and final article in a series written by Nick "Glip" Parkinson.

We’re lumping Quality Assurance, Customer Support and Community together because while the jobs are very much different all three are often seen as “foot in the door” jobs, so to speak. Meaning, a lot of folks get hired on in a position in one of these areas and want to eventually move on to some other area (typically design, though sometimes art). If you find yourself applying for one, don’t feel that you need to keep that fact a secret either as it’s usually not a problem.

  • Are You Ready To Be A Lab Rat?

It's been announced today that Evolution Research and FiringSquad.com have teamed up to make a large panel to aid market research.

As online market research has gained tremendous share over offline methodologies in recent years, it has produced a strain on current providers of online survey sampling.
