  • Grant "Rogue_5" McDaniel Comlinks Spy and Medic

The official forums for Star Wars Galaxies has been updated with two new comlinks from SOE Producer for Star Wars Galaxies, Grant McDaniel. You can read up on the spy and medic to learn more about them.

There is also news from the Test Center in the form of Chapter 4 highlights:

    GCW:

    * Factions: When leaving the Imperial or Rebel factions, you must now wait 5 days before joining the opposing side. You can still rejoin the side you left without waiting for the timer to expire.
    * GCW: Crackdown scans will no longer be confused about your proper GCW rank.
    * Space: Pilot trainers will check for the proper GCW faction (instead of positive faction standing), before signing a player to a pilot profession.

  • PvP Primer—Random Arena Summary

The official site for Guild Wars has been updated with a primer on PvP tactics.

We've covered Random Arenas from several angles already, but it deserves further discussion. Randoms have long served as a staple for PvPers of all sorts, from completely new players to the most distinguished of veterans. If you play in Randoms long enough, you'll probably end up with someone from a top guild on your team or, if unlucky, on the other team. You may recognize the specific character name of a player you've seen in observer mode, or perhaps one or your allies has some gold or silver cape trim (which would indicate they come from a guild that has placed in a tournament). But whether you get grouped with new or experienced players, you can learn from both.

  • Patch Time Needed to Address Glitches

The official forums for Dark Age of Camelot has been updated today with a note that tomorrow the servers will be coming down for a needed patch. Issues to be fixed include some glitches with the recent expansion release.

There are a handful of issues that we are aware of, and while they are not game stopping in the "OMG, MUST TAKE SERVERS DOWN NOW NOW NOW" sense, they are important enough that we need to run the fixes before the weekend. We will take the servers down tomorrow, Thursday the 16th at 8:00 AM EST, and bring them back up around 2:00 PM EST. Stay tuned for Pendragon patch notes, and a variety of hot fixes throughout the day.

Get clicking to see the rest of the notes. While the servers are down, be sure to share your thoughts on the new content with us in the Ten Ton Hammer Forums!
