A lot of small news and big news with a very small amount of information has been happening throughout the week. Rather than me babbling incoherently for eight paragraphs, I'm doing a round up to put everything together. Maybe we can all win here. I'll be brief, you'll see what's been happening in gaming, and maybe I'll have a bit of inspiration happen by way of MS Paint. This could be great. Anyway, I'm rambling. Let's get newsy.

Tera

En Masse announced that Bluehole Studio is bringing an expansion and level cap increase to Tera. Players will be able to level up to 65, enjoy a new “4th largest city,” explore the Northern Arun continent, instanced and competitive dungeons, enhancements to enchanting, quest guide and artifact systems and seasonal housing that guilds can compete for. Korea will see this update this month, but the North American client will not have this content until later this year. The closer it gets for this content to become available for non-Korean players will give En Masse an idea on when a more exact release date will be and what all can be expected in the patch.

Skyforge

Skyforge has been super busy on social media lately, especially Facebook, where they recently held a Q&A. After the Q&A, as a bonus, they added in a look at the Skyforge Portal, which they posted about on their forums.

We also got a sneak peak of the Cryomancer class, who will be “masters of ice and snow” but not much else is out there beyond the teaser.

Did you miss the Skyforge Q&A? Attack Gaming reads them to us over some nice images for the game:

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 will be hosting a PvP tournament for 5v5s at Gamescom 2014, which will be streamed on their Twitch channel. The International All-Stars Tournament goes global this year, as China is invited. Guild Wars 2 launched in China this May through publisher KongZhong, where Guild Wars 2 has already sold over 2 million copies.

Finalists will have an all-expenses-paid trip to Gamescom, courtesy of ArenaNet. Finalists will be chosen by the Guild Wars 2 community, who may vote for their fellow community members, who will have a chance to represent their teams. Players competing will have a chance to earn some sweet in-game items, including a totally badass suit of armor.

Webzen

While Webzen's a developer and not a game, a couple of their games got some updates this week. First up, is Continent of the Ninth Seal. Last week, I wrote about the Mystic's advanced class, the Erta, coming to the game. Now it's available and players who reach 65 on their Ertas by the 29th can earn “Auspice” which is some Erta-only item. They're also celebrating by holding a PvP video contest, where players can show off their smooth PvP moves to earn in-game rewards. The press release they sent out does not have information on where to submit the videos and their announcement forums doesn't have this information, either. The deadline is the 22nd, so maybe you can use a carrier pigeon.

Archlord 2 went into open beta on Tuesday and Webzen put out a trailer to go with that. Archlord 2 is a classless MMORPG that focuses on brutal combat. Anyone with a Webzen account (which is free to sign up for) can access the open beta. Levels are currently capped at 41, events will be throughout open beta and players can choose one of two races, each representing its own faction.

Nexon and Boss Key

Another studio and not directly game news announcement. Nexon has partnered with legendary developer Cliff Bleszinski's studio, Boss Key Productions, for the studio's first game. Since Bleszinski is known for shooters like Unreal Tournament and Gears of War, obviously the studio is working on a free-to-play multiplayer title, which is called BlueStreak.

World 2

World 2 is an MMORPG put out by Chinese company We Are Good Games. While I'm not a huge fan of Eastern MMOs, every now and then one comes out with an interesting concept. World 2, which will be for about every non-console platform (seriously – Windows, Linux, OSX, iOS and Android so far), focuses on raid bosses rather than killing puny rats. All the game is about is fighting Big Bads everywhere and the game has some really cool concept art. The game is still in development, but has been Greenlit on Steam. This week they introduced two more bosses to the game, including the cuddly Clyde the Butcher.

Eldevin

Eldevin is a free-to-play MMO from Scottish developer Hunted Cow (their marketing and social media guy's Twitter handle is @d20shapedheart and I think it's the most adorable thing ever). Today they announced that Eldevin now has a desktop client for players to use. The game also recently put out a free expansion, and continue to add in a ton of updates. A few weeks from now, the game's hardware rendering engine will be added in. Next week, players can learn how they can obtain mounts in game. The game was previously browser-only, but today's 1.16 patch adds in the desktop client and also brings story mode to two dungeons in the game. Reading their presser is my first time hearing about the game, but I'm really interested in checking it out now. It could be Twitter handle bias here, but it sounds like a game worth checking out!

Goats and Winners

Since we're all winners, here's an MS Painting of a goat:
