Finding the Fae

Page Two

I saw a few creatures in this demonstration that I can’t wait to see in game. I’m pretty sure I saw some Crushbone orcs. They might want revenge for the roughly 3 billion of them I killed in EverQuest 1. I also might owe a few of them money from a rough poker night. The coolest creature of all were these little mechanical robots called “small clockworks.” They flew around by propeller and were the most awesome thing, but I have a feeling they’ll be hostile.

The gods are back! We next dicussed the return of the gods, who have been successfully hiding (they owe some of the players money) since launch. This expansion will allow a player to choose a deity to serve. Doing this will allow the player open up a line of deity specific quests, which will reward them with specific abilities. Ah Brell, god of all that is alcohol. How ye have been missed. I want the ability to smite an enemy with drunkenness!

Moorgard also mentioned cloaks would be added. Despite my attempt to get a Batman cape, he went on to say they were customizable, just not that customizable. Apparently you’ll be able to create unique designs, which will be a nice way to identify yourself with a guild, or just goof around with creating it. Either way, adding a functional cloak to the character model I think is a great step.

Next, we discussed the Tradeskill secondary paths. The one in particular he mentioned was called Tinkering. Now I considering “tinkering” to be what I do with the TenTonHammer EverQuest 2 site before breaking it and crying to Phil about “never doing it again.” The Tinkering I think he was discussing is similar to what we saw in EverQuest 1 making mechanical items. It’ll be available to all crafting classes, so it’ll be fun for us all to check out.

than They Appear

It was time to move on, and it made me sad like the last sip of Chai tea. More zones, more quests, more weapons and armor, new race, new starting city, etc… The Echoes of Faydwer promises to bring an amazing boost of content to EverQuest 2. There is a lot that they'll have to deliver, but if they complete most of it, I can see this being the best expansion we’ve seen so far. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to write a letter to the Kelethin safety board.
