Auto Assault at E3 2006 - Page 3 of 3

First Impressions

Closing

With events like daily tournaments for PvP action, as well as completely solo content that is matched with content that involves convoys of people to complete, Auto Assault has its own flavour to it that sets it apart from the standard MMOs. The fact that the game is based around vehicular combat is lost in comparison to some of the other fundamental changes that you see in terms of gameplay style and changes to basic things like inventory. Even though I didn’t get a good view of the MMO aspects of Auto Assault, I did get to participate in an enjoyable amount of gameplay . The generated equipment really made a good impression on me as the game goes beyond the “+5 Boots of Awesomeness” and actually makes you look at equipment.

Inventory

The fact that I can load up and get to shoot things right away, made me happy in a way that only Taffy could make me happy… and I’m a man who loves his Taffy. Suffice to say I will be putting my 14 day trial of Auto Assault to good use before I start paying for the game, which knowing my weak resolve will be soon.

Next up was Tabula Rasa, but that’s another article…
