Assault on Skettis Overview

Arakkoa (the bad ones) have been ambushing and burning caravans in the Spires of Arak. These Arakkoa hail from the Ruins of Skettis and they are becoming a real problem. It has been requested that these attacks be stopped by launching a counter attack against the main presence of Arakkoa. You are charged with leading this assault and showing the bird men that these attacks will not be tolerated.

Location

The Assault on Skettis takes place in Skettis, which can be found inside the Spires of Arak zone. To get to this location quickly, players should take the flight path to Akeeta's Hovel in the north-east portion of the zone. This flight path is very close to the Shadowmoon Valley boarder. After reaching this location, follow the road north to Skettis.

Assault on Skettis Progress

When you first head into this area, two new bars will appear on your screen. One bar will show morale, the other will show a percentage of how complete the assault is. To complete the quest you need to make the percentage bar reach 100, the morale bar will help you to accomplish this.

First you must kill mobs around the area until you have reached a Talon Key. You will notice that while killing these mobs your percentage will probably not go up. To earn percentage you will have to take the Talon Key you collected and free a slave. Each slave will have a 5 minute timer until it vanishes. Make the most of this time by killing mobs with your slave. Doing this will earn you a small percentage boost, plus a boost to morale. Free multiple slaves and kill mobs with them in tow to gain even more morale.

Don't let your slaves just vanish. Before their five minute buff runs out, take the slaves to the Outcast Darkscryer (the guy with the large blue bubble around him) for a 1% quest percentage increase for every 1% of morale you have managed to earn with your slaves.

Related Reputation

Fighting mobs inside this particular zone will provide you with a reputation boost with the Arakkoa Outcasts. Please note that only level 100 mobs count for reputation. Each mobs you kill will give a different amount of reputation, with elite mobs and rares giving more reputation. Killing mobs here has the chance to spawn the Shadowmoon Invasion! Garrison Invasion.

Food Buffs

During the Assault on Skettis quest, players can earn a Well Fed buff by stealing some fish. Yes, stealing fish. Around this area you will find Darting Swift Feathers, who are happily eating fish. If you can manage to kill these mobs before they consume the fish they have caught you can steal the fish and eat it yourself. Eating this fish will increase your Versatility by 60 for 30 minutes. This buff only persists while in the Skettis Ruins of Spires of Arak.

Rewards

After you have completed the Assault on Skettis quest, it is time to turn it in to get your reward! This quest will award you 800 Apexis Crystals. Not to mention the reputation you have earned with the Arakkoa Outcasts along the way!

Achievements

While completing quests in this area, several achievements can also be obtained. Such as:

  • Eggs in One Basket – Escort Arakkoa Outcasts to an Outcast Darkscryer with a total of 100 morale during Operation: Skettis Ruins.
  • Fish Gotta Swim, Birds Gotta Eat – Steal a fish from a Kaliri before it successfully eats it and consume it yourself in Skettis Ruins.
