The World of Warcraft (WoW) can be a very confusing place. As with any
large game, and especially any Massively Multiplayer Online
Game (MMOG) there are a veritable ton of acronyms and terminology that
is used by its players. This can be very daunting to the new player,
and can even be confusing to many veterans that simply can not remember
all the terms.
This first section of the guide covers all the acronyms and terms that
start with a number or the letter A. Check back soon for

ALT - Generally refers to any character that you have
that is not the
one you play the most often. Usually refers to any character
that is not your highest level character, although many
players stop playing a high level character and start a new
main character and then do not refer to it as an alt.
