One of the more fun things to come out of the Rakghoul Pandemic dynamic event happening in Star Wars: The Old Republic has been the Crimson Rakling pet, obtainable via a scavenger hunt quest on Tatooine. You don't need to die to do it, don't need to collect crazy amounts of DNA samples to purchase it, don't have to wait 4 hours and compete with respawn campers, and you don't need expensive grappling hooks or heat-guns. You do need to be high enough level to get to Tatooine and survive, and a little over an hour to dedicate to the task.
