As mentioned above, the beta is already pretty well developed and many of the most exciting features have already been implemented. However, the most recent addition to the Mists of Pandaria family is sure to turn more than a few WoW player’s heads.
Cross-Realm Zones are exactly what they sound like; zones that are literally shared between realms. This new feature is designed to help populate typically under populated areas such as low level zones or other areas that most players have already “grown” out of. Never again will you be the only level 5 player questing your way diligently through Durotar.
Much like battlegrounds, Cross-Realm Zones will allow players to form a group with players from select realms. When in a Cross-Realm Zone, nothing will change except that the zone will contain extra players from other realms. You may group and interact with these additional players freely with only a few trade restrictions in place. For more information on this exacting new feature check out Blizzards official page on Cross-Realm Zones or simply log into the beta to experience it for yourself!
With so many new things to see inside the Mists of Pandaria beta, one can easily become overwhelmed with trying ot decide what they should make a priority. Below you will find a list of things that we here at Ten Ton Hammer are a must-see for every player in the beta. So if you haven’t seen these features yet, get out there and experience them for yourself because the beta won’t last forever.
No matter if you have been playing WoW from the start, or if you have jumped on the bandwagon more recently, you have probably been asking yourself when some of the old dungeons would be getting a facelift. The answer to this question is now. Ragefire Chasm, Scarlet Monastery, and Scholomance have been totally revamped in the Mists of Pandaria beta and are better than ever before. Fans of these instances should not miss out on the chance to get an early look at these old dungeon favorites.
Cross-Realm Zones, as detailed above, are the newest addition to the Mists of Pandaria beta and thus should be at the top of every players must see list. Cross-Realm Zones available for testing in the beta include: Northern Barrens, Ashenvale, Azshara, Darkshore, Westfall, and Silithus. Not only will you be one of the first to try out this exciting new feature, but you will have the chance to give important feedback on it as well.
While the addition of a brand new race and class is pretty exciting stuff, one of the other major changes coming to WoW in the not so distant future is a totally new talent system. Everything you think you know about talents gets blown out the window in Mists of Pandaria and the beta is the perfect place to check it out. Try out new specs, learn about new spells, or just get a feel for how this new talent system will work so you are prepared for when it goes live.
While it probably doesn’t need to be said, every player should be taking at least a glimpse into Pandaria. Wild and beautiful, Pandaria is truly something special. Going hand in hand with this new land is a brand new class; the Monk. Promising to offer up a play style that we haven’t experienced before inside WoW, trying out the Monk is a must in the Mists of Pandaria beta.
It is true that the Mists of Pandaria beta is a pretty polished product, however, in order to fine tune the current material, Blizzard has put a few things on the backburner. The list below includes many (but not all) of the items that are currently being left to simmer until a later date:
What would you suggest other players check out in the Mists of Pandaria beta? Which of the backburner features are you most looking forward to? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
