Blizzard get tough on gold farmers!

As many of us know, in May this month Blizzard banned approximately 30,000 accounts for being involved in gold/item farming and sales activites that violated the terms of service. They also publicly announced that they would be taking a tough and agreesive stance against similar activity in the future.

In Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper has printed an article concerning the crackdown on gold farmers.

A study conducted by Texas Tech University School of Law estimated that over $US2 million was spent on WoW gold between January and April last year and a recent search on eBay.com.au returned over 4000 individual auction listings for WoW gold.
