Messiah Turns 70!

Ok, Messiah didn't really turn 70, my character Vassago did in the Burning Crusade Beta. The other day in my Blog entry: Continuing Life as a Paladin I stated that my goal was to get to level 70 before Christmas, which I have now achieved.

It happened LATE last night while exploring yet another new instance. This time the instance was the Shadow Labyrinth meant for level 69 and 70 characters and I leveled just in time for the first boss.

Take a look at some of the pictures I snapped and watch for a complete preview of the Shadow Labyrinth coming soon!

As always click on any of the images for a larger version.

DING!

The fateful moment caught on digital film... So long experience bar, I will see you again soon in the real release!

There was much rejoicing in the group at this point! Turning 70 is a big deal after all. We took a quick break as I headed back to Ironforge to complete my final training. This included the highest rank of healing which does a base heal up to 2400! We could not wait to see what it did with all my plus healing gear.

After training and a few buffs I went to check out my +healing (since I was the healer in the group after all). OMG! Over 1,000 +healing! I am aiming for about +1100 within the next few days since none of my gear has any enchantments on it yet. Shouldn't be that hard to do.

Also included are some back to back critical heals, averaging 6k a piece! You may ask if this is really needed. The answer is YES! There are bosses in the level 70 instances that can crit the tank for 6k in a single hit, so healing this much is a requirement now. On my instance heal I was critical healing for over 1500, and my flash heals could crit for above 2000.

Holy +Healing Batman!

My first flight!

Ok, so you hit 70, what do you do next?

The first thing I did was become poor. I headed over to the mount vendor and picked up a sleek sexy black little number and took to the sky.

Next on my list was soaring over Shattrath and really checking out how big the city is.

Soaring over Shattrath

Now that I have my flying mount I am off to explore yet more instances over in the Netherstorm Zone in Tempest Keep. There are 3 more 5 man instances there that are calling my name.

I am also trying to collect some more +damage gear so that I can get back to tanking since I need it to be able to hold aggro now that everyone is throwing so much more damage than they used to.
