Oliver 'Tarib' Kunz Responds to Gamepad Concerns

Posted Mon, Feb 25, 2008 by Martuk

During the Game Developers Conference (GDC) there were a lot of concerns voiced by the community about the compatibility with the Xbox 360 controller and Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure. Now that the developers have returned from GDC Oliver 'Tarib' Kunz, Community Manager (German) for Funcom managed to get an update on this issue...

Our guys are back from GDC and I had the chance to clarify about the gamepad-issue with them:

It is a fact that the PC version of Age of Conan will not support gamepads. There were some problems with it and instead of putting a lot of resources into making everything work (inlcuding all GUI and whatnot), we decided to cut it and focus on other priorities.

But we will of course make sure that it will work for the XBox360 version and it might be that gamepad support will be patched for the PC version at a later state.

You can read the entire post on the official forums here.

The high-fantasy setting isn't the only thing that would make Game of Thrones a fantastic story-based MMO.
