More on the EA / Mythic Acquisition

I received an email today from Takkun who wanted us to link his in-depth article on the recent acquisition of Mythic by EA Games. Not being one to ignore community requests (no really, if I miss emails its because of all the Ci@lis adds in my mailbox) I've decided to throw up the link for everyone to digest. Here's a snippet from it:

As I’m sure you already know, unless you’re living under a grain of sand, under a pebble, under a rock, Electronic Arts acquired Mythic Entertainment on the 20th of June. This sparked a flurry of activity on a plethora of forums and made a few people quite upset. Why exactly are people reacting the way they are, what was the reason for the acquisition and what might the consequences be. Before we can discuss this acquisition in detail however, we have to take a quick look at the history of the two companies involved...
