Someday I'll learn that if I'm going to spend 90 minutes writing a column I could also spend two seconds saving it every 15 minutes. Until that day comes, you are stuck with days like this where I hit the save key to finish up Loading... and faster than you can say, "I've been there brother. I can feel you pain", my machine sticks a hot poker in my eye.
On the bright side, I have a topic for tomorrow!
Save your work. Questions or comments? (.mp3 format if you want in on the swag give away) Send them in.

What's New On
Let us entertain you or at the very least waste some of your time at work.

  • EverQuest 2: The Dangling Carrot
"Loyalty is the word in the realm of MMO's.  We pick a game, and will defend it til our last dying breath if we have to.  People play their game, easily for months, and frequently, for years without a thought of walking away.  What does Everquest II have that keeps us hitting that "accept" button and logging in?  Well, besides the hawt Barbarian toons, Savanja, does have a few ideas.  Walk with her, and chat about the greatness that is EQ2!"
  • Dungeons and Dragons Online: Carrot On A Stick
"Dungeons & Dragons Online launched with great success at the end of February, but will it have the momentum to sustain a solid player base? Shayalyn takes a look at how gaming with friends gives DDO a unique sort of staying power."
  • Guild Wars: Chasing The Carrot
"This week, we're in pursuit of the elusive carrot. Why do we keep playing video games long after bedtime? Why do we grind away on that treadmill for trivial goals? Because we love it."
  • What's My MMO Motivation?
"As we trade in console games hand over fist and single-player PC games just gather dust, what keeps us loyally (or hopefully) playing MMORPGs year after year? Ethec examines some of the core motivations behind MMO gaming."
  • Vanguard: Saga of Heroes - Chasing Rainbows
"Competition, is it what drives today's MMO players to keep playing? How much competition and in what forms is healthy for an MMO to keep their player base happy?"
  • Auto Assault: Carrot on a Flamethrower
"This week's common content editorial is all about what makes ushopeful to play Auto Assault. What drives us to wait patiently forApril 9th (or 12th) to roll around so that we can finally log into Auto Assault? Well find out from Xerin's perspective in this week's editorial Carrot on a Flamethrower. Crispy grilled carrots not included!"
  • Auto Assault: Power Distribution
"We have a brand new interface guide detailing the fine points of power distribution. Recently introduced to the game, the power
distribution system helps add flavor and variety to combat by allowing you to move your vehicle's attack, defense, and offense around. Need a little more speed? Exchange some defense for it! No longer will your enemies escape your wrath!"

Vin Diesel Fact of the Day: Warning! The Vin Diesel in your mirror is larger than he appears.

Now on to the real world. You can't make this stuff up.

As always, thanks for visiting,
