Woo woo! We are back in action!

GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that Interplay, the famous developers of a number of hyper-popular CRPGs, are coming back in a big way.

Announcing its earnings results for 2007, the company said it would be using the proceeds of the sale of the Fallout licence to help reboot the company with new titles, while it also seeks funding for an MMO based on the Fallout franchise.

Net revenues for the year ended December 31, 2007, were USD 6 million, primarily from the sale of the Fallout IP for USD 5.75 million.

Obtaining the licence back the company is now seeking funding to create a massively multiplayer game based on the Fallout brand, while working on sequels to Earthworm Jim, Dark Alliance, Descent and MDK.
