Bring Your Frying Pan to Work Day

Shouldn't everyone keep a frying pan in their desk drawer? NCsoft's Audio Director, Tracy Bush, does for those alien ship noise emergencies. Tracy creates the in game sound effects players know so well, including those in Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. The Austin-American Statesman posted a great interview featuring some of the quirky ways a game sound effect comes to life.

Mashing his teeth together with a mouthful of marbles, of course, isn't all fun.

"It hurt ... ," Bush said, "but it was a great sound at the end of the day."
