AA: E3 Demo Impressions

Ratboy Runs Rampent in Auto Assault Thurston "Ratboy" Hillman pulls himself away from the Booth Babes to check out the demo of Auto Assault at this year's E3. Finding out that he isn't as uber as he had hoped didn't dampen his spirit or opinion of this exciting game... The introduction to the inventory of the game reminded me of an episode of “Pimp My Ride” with options down to different kinds of tires on the vehicles themselves. I think the saving grace in the whole scenario was the fact I’ve never once seen an episode of “Pimp my Ride”. Thankfully the good folks at NCsoft were more then willing to give us a good overview of the game and even proceeded to show us some of the more intricate parts of combat, such as the supposedly ‘important’ difference between forward and rear mounted weaponry. Once I found out how to shoot and aim, the rest of the game was a blur of experience points and inflicted damage, at least up until I was informed by the staff that when red numbers came up it meant I had taken damage.
