It's Nifty, but will You
Keep it Dusted?

Calling to true geeks everywhere, collector's editions are found for an
increasing number of videogame products these days. Coming in big shiny
tins, these metal piñatas have a wealth of extras which can include
anything from art books to in game items. Are they worth the
considerable extra cost? RadarX takes a look at collector's editions
and explains why some things are worthwhile, and others are just a
passing fancy.

style="font-style: italic;">One bonus aspect of a
collector's edition I think most people miss is geek cred. That's
right, the ability to say you've bought it because you are such a die
hard Warhammer fan. To set it upon your trophy shelf with your unopened
Aquaman, full size 1950's GI Joe, replica Dr. Who tools, and signed
copy of Spawn #1 places you among the elite, and we salute you for it.
