A whole new place to fight it out, in the sewers
Blizzard's PvP discussion panel at last weekends Worldwide Invitational in Paris talked about everything PvP. The panel was made up of Tom Chilton (Lead Game Designer), and Cory Stockton (Lead Level Designer) and they covered lots of PvP information. In this second article covering the panel, Byron "Messiah" Mudry gives you the rundown on the upcoming Dalaran Arena, including what will make it unique.
The first of these is the starting areas. Blizzard felt that with the new arenas they wanted to force the start time a little. So, in Dalaran your starting area is in a pipe part way up the wall on either side of the arena. Once the gates open, water rushes through the pipe at you and propels your team into the arena. This means playing defensively out of your starting area is not an option here.
