Feedback Friday: New User Experience

Updated Sun, Aug 03, 2008 by Taea

It's the end of this exciting week in Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa, and Feedback Friday covers the top news that came out this past week. Number one on the list is the announcement of Operation Immortality, where your DNA could be recorded and taken to Space! Along with OI comes a free 7 day trial of Tabula Rasa, perfect for those still on the fence about giving the game a shot. In Deployment 11 that is now on Test, the game is being redesigned with these new players in mind.

Our overall goal was to get our "new user experience" as clean and smooth as possible, and we felt that the current iteration of Boot Camp gave players too much extraneous information and tended to be more difficult than necessary. To reflect our new goal of a clean and simple new user experience, we revamped the tutorial, help menus, and log in screen. We also made balance passes on Wilderness and a complete overhaul of Caves of Donn.

Years have passed since the cancellation of Tabula Rasa, but some fans still want the game back.
