Definately this year.

Blizzard is famous for only releasing a game when it's done, and only giving us a release window when they're sure they know when it's going to be. So when Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard, says Wrath of the Lich King will be out this year - you know it's truth.

In the investor conference call we covered yesterday Mr. Morhaime let this bit slip:

"We have said that it will be coming out this year. I can tell you it's not coming in the July to September quarter."

That only leaves sometime between October and the end of the year. While many people were initially guessing the Wrath the Lich King would come out at the same time as Blizzcon, I think that event is too soon now. Beta would have had to started more than a month ago and we'd already know the release date I think. My bet is that we'll know the release date at Blizzcon, for a Thanksgiving or Christmas release.
