WoWqj.net has posted a recent story on a statement made by Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime. According to the story the launch of Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures did indeed put a dent in Blizzard's massive market. The exact amount of lost players was not mentioned, but Morhaime did say of those that left for our little land of Hyboria only about 40% had returned.

Moraime said that " Age of Conan released with some initial success. We did see some of our players leave, [but] about 40% of those players have returned to World of Warcraft." He added that in spite of this, WoW still has an advantage over anything in the market as being "a product that has been continually enhanced, expanded and refined for almost four years now."
