Each player only gets one house. If you belong to a guild, someone within the guild will end up owning the guild hall and allowing all of the rest of you schleps permission to use it. This will most likely be the crazy one you all call leader. I had to clarify this. Guild Halls will be privately owned homes. So be nice and don't trash your guild leader's house.
Like SWG, there are access lists. You can use these access lists to create multiple functions for your house. Houses will serve as taverns, guild halls, and shops as well as a haven for your character to escape. Timed access points are on the to do list so you can expect to see them in the future.
I believe that weather systems should matter. They've created a realistic weather system within the land of Telon. For instance, a weather system will start over the ocean. This helps sail your ship. It moves south over the beach dropping a light rain. As it moves east over into the plains, the rain will become heavier, finally turning to snow as it reaches the mountains. It is probably the most beautiful system I've ever seen.
Speaking of ships, if you have ever had the notion to become a sailor, now is your chance. Learn words like "tacking" and get your port and starboard right! The wind can either be your friend or your enemy as you sail the seas of Telon.

At this point we were shooed out as the demo had run way over time, and we still had a ton of information to go through. I plan on going back to take a look at the displays to pickup more information. You can find more information in our E3 coverage. Be sure to look for Shayalyn's write up on this epic game.
