There are very, very few individuals in the massively multiplayer
online gaming industry as experienced as Don Daglow. With 37 years of
experience, Daglow brought his experience to the Leipzig Games
Convention, where he gave a fantastic presentation on where the future
of the industry in heading. Ten Ton Hammer's John "Boomjack" Hoskin
documented Daglow's talk and captured the essence the seasoned
developer. Of course, if you're unfamiliar with Daglow, make sure you
check out target="_blank">our previous interview with him,
which focuses on Daglow's previous experiences with online gaming and
his work at Stormfront Studios.

Alternatively, what seems to be important today may be embarrassing
tomorrow. Don showed slides of the Intellivision versus ATARI console
advertisements that compared the graphics of the competition consoles.
Will we look back and laugh at the marketing slogans or perhaps even
the game mechanics of today in 20 years? Will our children's children
puzzle over an archaic title named World of Warcraft?
