Could be very cool if it works well

Blizzard is attempting a very cool solution that will allow them to sell the game to someone online, and have them up and running quickly. The streaming download and play method is being tested in the Latin market.

The World of Warcraft streaming trial is a service that allows players with fast enough Internet connections to download a small part of the game client and start playing as quickly as possible. The remaining data streams in the background while the player enjoys the game. This convenient alternative to downloading and installing the standard trial version has just been made available in Spanish to Latin American players.

Players interested in checking out World of Warcraft can check out the trial version and get started right away. This is also a great opportunity to invite your friends or relatives to try the game using our Recruit-A-Friend program. By participating, you can earn an exclusive zhevra mount, receive a free month of game time, and gain access to other in-game benefits. Head over to the Recruit-A-Friend page to start sending invitations, or check out this FAQ for more information about the program.
