Let's get a GC in North America, eh?

This year's Games Convention was held in Leipzig, Germany, and by all accounts was a blast. Now the organizers are looking to establish the show in North America... but not in the United States. It's looking like Vancouver, British Columbia, is the most likely venue at this point though nothing has yet been confirmed. I, of course, love this idea because that's only 3-4 hours away from me, plus border traffic. Especially if the timing is like this year, one could hit the Games Convention, then drive down to Seattle for next year's PAX. Talk about a gamer's road trip!

"We'll decide about the place of the new event in cooperation with the games industry," said a representative to Gamekyo. "It seems to become a city in Canada, not in the US. We'll inform you as soon as we arrived at a decision […], we are still in negotiation".

The latest Games Convention held in Leipzig, Germany, boasted over 14,600 industry professionals in attendance, and over 203,000 consumers, occupying 115,000 square meters of space. The show has become the focal point for the European games community.
