From atop a tall hill, Haldar surveyed the lands to the south. A long path of burned trees and ruind land stretched like a great, jagged scar before him. In the distance, tall columns of gray smoke rose into the air where the fires still blazed. the young warrior's heart leapt - just a few hours travel and he would catch up with the warhost. Then he could show Brunald his trophies of war and take his rightful place among the men of the tribe.

With renewed urgency, Haldar began to make his way back down the steep slope. He had traveled on foot for many days, racing to catch up with the great army of warriors from the north. When the host had passed the village of Thorsham, Lord Tchar'zanek had decreed that all young tribesmen who had not yet made their first kill were to assault the village and prove their worth. Haldar had claimed three hands in the ensuing carnage - more than enough to merit his acceptance as a true warrior.

Several hours later, Haldar arrived at the encampment of the Warhost. What once had been a wide clearing in the dense forest pine was now a smoking ruin. The carcasses of livestock were strewn about, having been thoroughly picked over for meat. A large swath of ground had been burned in the shape of a great star with eight points.

"Haldar!" It was Brunald, senior warrior in the tribe, who spoke. "You have returned, and not empty handed, I see! What have you brought?"

Haldar emptied his pouch onto the charred ground, beaming with pride.

Brunald looked over the grisly trophies and nodded with approval, the clasped a strong hand around the youth's shoulder. "At last, you are a man of the Dolgan tribe! Tonight you will feast with the elders! Tomorrow, there is much to do. A great battle lies ahead, and we must make ourselves ready."

Haldar nodded. Now that he had tasted battle, he was eager for more.

Holmsteinn Revisited (Easy):

Location: Ruins of Holmsteinn, Norsca

width="200" border="0">

Stage I: 20 Holmsteinn Supplies Gathered. This is a fairly easy requirement to meet. There will be interactive boxes all over the place, usually in groups of 3-5. They're guarded by Nordland Scouts, ranged/melee fighter, and they can be wiped out pretty quick. One may reappear as you're gathering the crates, usually after you've grabbed 2 and are in the process of getting your third. Get 20 of these crates and then get ready to move on.

Stage II: 5 Nordland Verkenners. The Nordland Verkenners are Standard mobs and are accompanied by two Nordland Scouts who are also Standard mobs. Since the Verkenners aren't any different from the Scouts, take them out first so you can make sure you meet your requirements. The most difficult part about this is where to FIND these roaming groups. The answer is anywhere in the Ruins of Holmsteinn. The groups roam from the beach down the hill all the way to the far side of the Ruins.

Stage III: Boswald Griev. Griev takes his queue from the Verkenners and he roams. If you can set it up so that you're on the path to the windmill when this stage starts, Griev comes running over the rocks. If you miss him, he roams all over and at a quick pace, usually sticking to some sort of cover. Since this part is timed, you'll want to find him quickly. Griev is a Champion class Witch Hunter type mob, with potent ranged and melee attacks.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

  • Massive Loot Bag - Purple Belt Armor
  • Major Loot Bag - Blue Rank 5 Weapon
  • Lesser Loot Bag - Green Rank 5 Boots
  • White Loot Bag - White Rank 5 gloves
  • Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
  • Sallow Gall : Cultivation
  • Clean Tin Watering Can: Cultivation
  • Withered Peat : Cultivation
  • Coins

Stage I: Kill 50 refugee soldiers. The area is crawling with refugee npc's but you need to make sure you're attacking the Refugee Marksmen and only kill the Refugee Spearmen if you have a separate quest or they attack you. Only the Refugee Marksmen count for the requirement of this stage of the Public Quest and they usually will attack at ranged like a Witch Hunter. They're not only located around the turned over carts, but back in the rocks closer to the Sorcerer's Axiom camp so there's plenty to go around. Also, one of the requirements for the final stage of this PQ pops up now, Tonas Jorgen. The group can kill him (and will probably have to) and get credit for it at the end. Tonas is a standard hero tank type mob.

Stage II: 12 Refugee Duelists. Now you face some champion class mobs and they wander in groups of three. They're somewhat spread out, but not so much that you have to run all over the place. Hang out in front of the makeshift camp and you can hit them all at ranged usually. They will also attack as a group of three, so be prepared when you pull one over. During this phase of the PQ, Gherig the Faithful, a hero type mob, appears and wanders out from the camp. As the name implies, Gherig is a Priest of Sigmar

Stage III: Tonas Jorgen, Gherig the Faithful, Haldin Wuertz. By now, you've already dealt with Tonas Jorgen and Gherig the Faithful. Now you're left with Haldin Wuertz, a hero type Witch Hunter. Unlike the other two though, Wuertz doesn't wander around into the crowd. He stays in the makeshift camp and waits for you to come to him. With him and only him fighting, this will be a quick fight.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

  • White Loot Bag - White accesory
  • Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
  • Sallow Gall : Cultivation
  • Clean Tin Watering Can: Cultivation
  • Withered Peat : Cultivation
  • Coins

Suderholm (Hard):

Location: Village of Suderholm

style="margin: 10px; float: right; "
border="1">

width="132" height="166" border="0">

Stage I: 80 Suderholm Citizens killed. So the citizens of Suderholm have decided to defy Tchar'zanek. Yeah, not the smartest of decisions. Your job is to kill a bunch of them to teach them a lesson. The village of Suderholm is a pretty large area that stretches from the beach below up to the road you came in on. The villagers are nothing special, just standard mobs so this is no real challenge.

Stage II: 11 Suderholm Buildings burned. This sounds a LOT easier than it really is. While the buildings are easy to burn, the citizens fire brigade comes running. The Suderholm Bucketeers are Champion class mobs that come in groups of twos to put out the fires you start. You have a time limit on this so to succeed, you need a plan on how to deal with this or you'll be spinning your wheels. Best way to deal with it is have a few teams running around and starting fires and then engaging the Bucketeers as they arrive on the scene. This way, you don't have to burn a building twice and you can finish with time to spare.

Stage III: Abborah. Village leader Abborah is none too pleased that you torched his town. He wanders all over Suderholm and once again, this is timed. Best to send out search parties to spot him. Abborah is a Hero class mob who fights like a warrior. Nothing too spectacular...

... but do you like surprises? You'd better because once you kill Abborah, it's not over. Turns out that Abborah has been dabbling with the forces of chaos and he channels that power now to become a LORD class mob. What is a Lord class mob you ask? Imagine that MMA fighter Bob "The Beast" Sapp got some chaos power in him and you have to fight him. Yeah, it ain't pretty and you have to see it. The new improved Abborah does massive damage, has a knockback, and if you don't have a couple of healers focused on whoever's main tanking him, they probably won't last long.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

  • Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
  • Sallow Gall : Cultivation
  • Clean Tin Watering Can: Cultivation
  • Withered Peat : Cultivation
  • Coins
