The Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures community will soon be introduced to Ymir's Pass in a future update and to help prepare the players for this new area mmorper.com has put together a Lore Guide for Ymir's Pass. Now you can get a jump on the history of this land before it goes live.

According to Nordheim legend, within the northern reaches of Vanaheim, the greatest and most powerful of all Frost-Giants lives waiting for the souls of their fallen warriors. Ymir is said to stand several hundred feet tall and wields a powerful axe, whose blade spans larger than the length of several men combined. If this axe was to strike the world with it’s furry, mountains would crumble and the earth would part, creating a wound similar to that of the great Ymir’s Pass. This is how Ymir’s Pass received it’s name. Deep within the Cimmerian mountains the land breaks to reveal a huge pass of scarred land. Atzel’s Bandits, a furious group of warlords and fugitives, roam the land preying on those unfortunate enough to cross their paths. A constant battle between the bandits and the Cimmerian people has erupted and the dense forests and swampland are soaked in the blood of its aftermath. While journeying through Ymir’s Pass players will experience the landscape in all its beauty and carnage. The threat of Atzel’s Bandits will become all too real as your blades meet and your character becomes part of the tale.
