No swing through damage

While there's not much information coming out about BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic, this little tid bit did slip through. BioWare boss Greg Zeschuck says that they're aiming for a choreographed feel to the combat. This should be a departure from the no-contact or swing through combat graphics of past MMOs.

"If you recall some very specific things from the gameplay video, it was choreographed," Zeschuk said.

"One big difference, especially against the MMO space, is that typically everyone swings through each other. That’s the way it’s been done. It doesn’t look great for Star Wars."

Zeschuk said he wanted the combat to "look as though it could be taking place in a Star Wars movie".

It sounds very lovely, but very complicated. We'll see if they can accomplish their goal.
