Are you raiding tonight or are you just happy to see me?

Discover Magazine's online persona (blog) has posted a survey that finds people may indeed enjoy the interwebs more than intercourse. The survey analysis from Discover states that:

"Over 2,000 respondents were asked if they would forgo intercourse for two weeks, or surrender Internet privileges for the same amount of time. About half of the women in the survey chose chastity so long as they had the succor of the World Wide Web. This percentage remained consistent across all age ranges, from 18 to 44 years old.

The men surveyed craved action in the bedroom a bit more than World of Warcraft and other online. . . pursuits, though just barely: About four out of 10 males aged 18 to 34 opted for the Internet over sex during the hypothetical two-week time frame."

I'm going to guess that the four males responding that way are married. I'm not saying anything, but I am guessing. There are some actual findings beyond the sack-factor that make the survey interesting such as 90% of the respondents believe the internet has saved them money. The real interesting point is that no discussion about online fun can be complete until World of Warcraft graces the coverage. This article is no different. Would you forgo virtual pleasures for the real ones? Internet access or sex...hmmm. So which is it?
