Two words describe the Warlock subclass: sustainable damage.  While wizards are the elemental masters of direct damage (DD) spells (meaning they have the most spells that pack

the greatest punch up front), Warlocks have the advantage in Area of Effect (AoE) spells, which can devastate multiple opponents at once with poison and disease spells. 

 

We have our share of DDs, buffs (attribute augmentations), and debuffs (attribute diminishment spells) too, along with the ability to turn our favorite groupmates into toads, bats, and rats of course!

 

Enjoy being the caster in the back row, laughing quietly while turning the fate of the battle with subtlety?  Prefer grouped combat to solo? Warlock might be the right flavor of sorceror for you!

 

Designed to smooth the path of the Warlock, this guide has been designed with the newer player in mind! I hope the information presented will be helpful to players of all skill levels, and that more advanced players will be patient with my intermittent explanations of EQ2 parlance.
