5.0 - Equipment

5.1 - Primary / Secondary Weapons Loadout

Druids get the fun choice of using either crushing or slashing weapons, a la the EQLive schimitar.  Go slashing!  While ostensibly not as effective against undead mobs, you'll do more damage against really any other type of enemy than any other priest can.  Remember however, DPS (damage-per-second, a succinct measure of offensive capability, e.g. mages and scouts offer the highest DPS) we ain't.  Let the damage dealers do their work while you concentrate on healing and support, or if you're solo, use those HOs (more on this in the "Spell Breakdown" section!).

For your secondary "weapon," you have the choice of a buckler (a small, runt-of-the-litter shield) or a symbol.  Shields provide a certain level of "shielding" (duh!) which seems to offer a small chance to block the blow plus a certain amount of protection to boot.  Symbols offer no defense whatsoever, instead providing stat boosts.  My advice: buckler for solo, symbols for group.  When solo, you'll need every bit of defense you can get.  In group situations, the extra WIS that symbol provides might allow you to crank out that last critical heal that saves the day.

5.2 - Armor and Accessories

As wardens, we're stuck with Light armor. Yuck.  Keep yourself in the best Light armor in your price/quest range (no need to get crazy about armor, if you have to choose between upgrading armor and upgrading your heals, upgrade your heals!), but work on building Avoidance via AGI.

Accessories- concentrate on building WIS, AGI, Defense, and STA in that order, and you can't go far wrong.  You can probably find entirely suitable jewelry (no matter your level) from a quest reward, but player-crafted accoutrements are very nice too.
