Overview:

Obelisk of Lost Souls is a dark and forgotten place located seemingly between worlds. This cave, protected by the shadowed
men, and only accessible through mysterious clouds of smoke, is hidden, with entrances in Antonica (-2213, -913), Commonlands (-1033, 490), Nektulos Forest (-104, -2231), Thunderring Steppes (1200, 900), and Zek (50, -200). These entrances will require you to kill three groups of creatures. A fixed entrance is located
in the Feerrott, near the Tower of Vul.

I made my way through the perilous Nektulos Forest, to the very northern most part, where the giants reside, and found a
hidden scattering of shadowed men. These creatures were no matches for my mighty Monk skills, and they fell quickly to the
harsh bash of my batons. And instantly, a purple cloud appeared, and I knew this was what I had been searching for. I stepped
within the haze, and was magically ported into the Obelisk.

The Obelisk of Lost Souls is made up of sections. If you enter through the Feerrott entrance, then you will only have access
to a portion. Two access quests must be done to be able to go through the doors in the main room. I’d suggest going in through
the Nektulos Forest entrance, which appears once the shadow men have been killed.

Once inside, there is a skeleton on the ground with a scroll next to him. Clicking the scroll will give you the first of the
access quests.

Obelisk consists of 3 rather confusing levels. It’s very much like running through a maze. The upper levels are filled mostly
with shadowed men, Nightbloods, undead, and evil eyes. This is a great place to come to get those L&L books done!

The lower level, accessable once the two access quests have been done, consists primarily of undead, iron sentinels, and
some lamias

To gain entrance into the 3rd lowest level, you need to find the Keeper of Nihility (loc +48, +566, +450). You will be attacked by
2 groups of mobs, one right after the other, before the Keeper becomes attackable. Once the Keeper has been defeated, a door
will open behind where he stood, and this will lead to a portal that will take you to the lowest level.

Minimum Level:

The Obelisk is a dungeon zone is intended for groups, levels 35-50. The majority of the mobs in zone are heroic encounters,
with many being triple up arrow mobs. The deeper you go within the Obelisk, the higher level the mobs. I was still getting green cons
at level 60 in the 3rd level.

Side note regarding Zygoth the Watcher, he is a mean mob with quite a bit of health.
He's a level 39 heroic encounter, but tougher than your typical level 39 mob. I was actually shocked that I could not solo
him at level 60, I had to go get help!

Hail Book of Summoning to get the quest, once you have slain all the named mobs, hail the book again to spawn The Creator

Reward: Experience, 3g+ and zone access.

  • List of Acquisitions for the Continuing of Research
  • The quest drops from the mobs in the lowest level of the Obelisk. There are two rooms that hold ring events that seem rather
tough, and we got a lot of despawning. So if someone has info on this quest, I’d love to have it!

Reward: Experience and Vestibule zone access
